Why the heck is it always like Madison turns into Wind Tunnel City when it's warm out, but is relatively calm otherwise? IT MAKES NO SENSE. |

obviously never experienced the unadulterated horribleness of riding your bike 3 miles up John Nolan in November with the 35 mph nw win trying to push you into Lake Monona.
multiple times in the same week.
ick.
I have not! I have, however, walked both to the gym and to school in it (about .4 miles and .9 miles, respectively), and both make things bad-styles. Especially how it blows your hair around and you come inside looking like you just enjoyed an amazing tryst. But you didn't!
Because God forbid we actually ENJOY a warm day out...without it sweltering, that is.

don't tell, but the wind pisses me off so much that i would have gladly accepted another snowstorm in lieu of this wind tunnel business.

That's another thing I don't really get -- how you can have multiple windy days in a row. Doesn't the pressure even out, or the low pressure areas move? Yar.
because the air heats unevenly over the isthmus and the lakes, then rushes from one place to the other?
just a guess. | |
